Online Bible Study Resources

Here are different resouces for online bible study:

    • The Episcopal Catechism online.

    • The Revised Common Lectionary- Bible Studies online.

    • Diotima - Materials for the Study of Women and Gender in the Ancient World.

    • Navigating the Bible - Started as a tool for use by Bat or Bar Mitzvah students, its focus has been expanded to include anyone interested in learning about the Torah, or Old Testament. A searchable site with Excite.

    • Project Genesis- Torah on the Information Superhighway.

    • Scrolls from the Dead Sea - The Library of Congress site - includes the scrolls plus images of other artifacts found in the caves, including textiles, utensils, and coins.

    • World Wide Study Bible - Part of Wheaton College's Christian Classics Ethereal Library- connects users to Internet resources related to particular books or portions of the Bible. The simple front page interface lists the books of the Bible. After selecting one of these users access links to an overview of the book as well as commentaries, sermons, and the entire text of the book.

    • Bible Sprout - Their mission is to educate young Christians with access to the top biblical resources (translations, commentaries, dictionaries) on the web. They’ve also compiled hundreds of bible questions and answers to help young Christians in strengthen their faith to become tomorrow’s leaders for Christ.
