St. Peter's Ready Market

So, what does a church garden, old travel trailer, an historic hospital and a developer have in common anyway?

? A vision to invigorate and revitalize underserved communities?  Yup!
? A desire to feed the hungry and be faithful stewards to God’s Creation?  Check!
? A dream to Do Good Better, by building stronger, healthier communities from the inside out?  Got that too!'
? A mobile market tailored to the needs of the neighborhoods it serves? Oh ABSOLUTELY!

In these pictures, you are seeing (pardon our pun) the fruition of a persistent collaboration finally bloom and well, yes, even bear fruit!  To get to the root of the matter:  You are witnessing a ministry of hope, creation care and dedication backed by honest hard work and sweat!
ReadyMarket will roll into food deserts in Amarillo ready to help our neighbors.
The people and organizations who pulled this together are amazing!  Stpetersama.org, salarc.org, and square-mile.org have all labored to refurbish and furnish this mobile market!  Freshly harvested vegetables, locally produced meat, grocery items and fruit able to be locally produced.  It is a beautiful example of the spirit of belonging in our Episcopal Church and the importance of coming together as the body of Christ to serve others.
